Welcome. This is the story of our land — of olives, stones, wild places, and generations who have worked beneath Garrigues skies.
Our farm lies in the heart of Les Garrigues, a rugged, sun-burnt region in Catalonia famous for its olive trees, dry stone terraces, and an ancient rhythm of life tied to the land. Garrigues has always been more than a place — it’s a culture of olives, stone huts, terraces, and natural wildness.
Walking the slopes, you’ll see the remains of volta shelters, the traditional dry-stone huts built without mortar (known locally as pedra seca). They were used for generations as resting places, tool-sheds, or refuges when the sun rose high and the work among the olives or almonds tested the bones.
Along with them are the bench terraces, the stone walls that shape the hillsides into steps. These terraces allow us to push back erosion, channel rain when it comes, and make steep land usable for trees. The walls and terraces are part of the lived history here: generations have maintained them, repaired them, and learned how to farm them with care.
For centuries our land has grown olives, always aiming for quality. We also tend almond and pistachio trees, which thrive in our dry climate and poor soils when treated with respect.
To balance the cultivated with the wild, about 10 hectares of the farm remain wild — holm oaks, brush, and forest patches — home to deer, wild pigs, and many other animals. We believe that farming well means caring for what isn’t farmed, too.
Our farm has been managed in an ecological / biological (organic) way for many years. No harsh chemicals, minimum mechanization where possible, soil kept alive, water respected. The dry-stone shelters, the terraces, the old trees — all are cared for. We work to maintain biodiversity, both in what we plant and what we leave alone.
The olive trees here are mostly Arbequina, a variety deeply tied to Garrigues.
Our olive oil benefits from the Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) “Les Garrigues” — the official Protected Designation of Origin for extra virgin olive oil from this region.
What that means:
Because of this certification plus our ecological methods, our Arbequina olive oil carries not just flavour — but a guarantee: origin, quality, respect for nature.
We hope that when you taste our oil, wander among the terraces, or rest beneath a stone volta, you feel the layers of history and care in every drop and every stone.

The volta or cabanes de pedra seca (dry stone cottage) is one of the most distinctive symbols of rural life in Les Garrigues. Built entirely by hand from local stone, without mortar, these dry-stone shelters date back centuries and reflect the deep bond between people and the land. Farmers once used them as refuges from the sun, places to rest, store tools, or take shelter during sudden storms. These shapes blend naturally into the landscape, embodying both practical and beauty. We are the proud custodians of 5 Voltas. These structures were built since the neolithic period however there was a construction boom in 17-18th centuries.
